The study is about pelvic floor dysfunction rates in volleyball players, runners, and sedentary people. The aim is to determine the influence the sport could have on pelvic floor dysfunction in different types of athletes rather than sedentary people. To do so, through explorative data analysis, we have analyzed the data collected by an online questionnaire. We have studied the associations and differences between some pelvic floor dysfunction and variables such as categories, age, gender, and hours of activities per week of the population studied. We have found interesting associations between categories and mixed losses (feces and gas), urine losses, and between gender and urine loss. Due to the low numbers of male information, we had more relevance considering only the female subset. Again, there was relevant information about urine loss in particular associated with age. In conclusion, it seems that sport, practiced with a certain frequency and intensity, has a positive impact on some pelvic floor dysfunction.

Abstract
In conclusion, it seems that sport, practiced with a certain frequency and intensity, has a positive impact on some pelvic floor dysfunction.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
