The origins and evolution of the Scots: phonological aspects

The main topics correspond to: a general analysis of the development of Scots related to Scottish historical events, an in-depth study of the linguistic differentiation between Lowlands and Highlands, an examination of the phenomenon of rhoticity and, lastly, an observation of Aitken's Scottish Vowel Length phonetic law.

L'elaborato finale tratta le origini e l'evoluzione della lingua Scots, analizzando alcuni dei suoi aspetti fonologici.
