This paper tries, starting from the concept of bilingualism and looking at the presence of the phenomenon at national level, to analyse the phonetic differences between Italian and Spanish. Similarly, we will see the orthographic differences connected with the different sounds in both languages. A consideration will be done on the causes of phonetic interference between the two languages in bilinguals and how it occurs in different manners depending on the circumstances. Hypothesis will be done about the possible learning scenarios, depending on whether the L2 has been learnt simultaneously or consecutively compared to the L1 or later, hence in adulthood. It may be assumed that, giving for granted that the phenomenon is particularly common between adults because of the difficulties linked to learning, obstacles are represented by, not only hallmarks, but also by the similarities between the two languages. Finally, possible solutions will be proposed to help overcome these obstacles, in order to facilitate learning of both languages.

Abstract
Finally, possible solutions will be proposed to help overcome these obstacles, in order to facilitate learning of both languages.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
