Background: bronchiolites are the main cause of admission to first aid in developed countries. In 60-80% of cases the causative agent responsible for the disease is represented by respiratory syncytial virus (VRS) affecting more than 30 million children every year. Purpose: the study aims to analyze the trend of the incidence of bronchiolitis in the Department of Women’s and Children’s Health of Padua, paying particular attention to the epidemiological trend of the disease in the pre- and post-lockdown period due to the pandemic of SARS-cov-2. Materials and methods: retrospective study focused on admissions for bronchiolitis in infants in the years 2012-2022. Results: statistical processing in progress.
Risultati: elaborazione statistica in corso.
