I will make a small historical introduction of the orphanages of post-World War II Eastern Europe up to the present day, and then outline some cases of mistreatment within it. I will explain the coping strategies of abused minors in the 0/2 years age group (Piaget's sensorimotor stage) and then talk about the consequences of adoptions and any psycho-pathological outcomes in adulthood.

Farò una piccola introduzione storica degli orfanatrofi dell'est Europa post seconda guerra Mondiale fino ad i giorni d'oggi, per poi delineare dei casi di maltrattamento all'interno ad esso. Spiegherò le strategie di coping dei minori maltrattati nella fascia d'età 0/2 anni (stadio sensomotorio di Piaget) per poi parlare delle conseguenze dell'adozioni ed eventuali esiti psico-patologici nell'età adulta.
