The dissertation wanted to investigate the possible linguistic evolution in an inclusive perspective that affected the songs of the children's singing event Zecchino d'Oro from its origins in 1959 to 2021. The research pathway started from the analysis of bibliographic material that highlighted the universality of music, understood as a language capable of conveying messages, emotions, feelings and desires since the origins of humanity, as testified by the studies of Blacking (1973), Bannan (1997), Mithen (2005) and Mado Proverbio (2019). The commonalities and differences between music and language, the medium through which songs are written, were then highlighted, and the stages universally followed by all children around the world in the development of sound and musical skills were made explicit. The reasons why music can be considered a facilitator of inclusion were then mentioned. A number of inclusive music experiences at international and national level were then analysed, with a special focus on the experience born in Bologna in 1959 and called Zecchino d'Oro. After outlining its historical course and the figures who have contributed to making it a model of music that is technically rigorous but at the same time profoundly inclusive and respectful of differences, we moved on to the operational part of the thesis. The experimental research presented in the last chapter investigated the evolution of the language that, from 1959 to the present day, has been used to write the lyrics for the songs of the children's singing event known as Zecchino d'Oro. In particular, we wanted to understand which words were the most present (i.e. having a greater number of occurrences within the lyrics) and whether or not they could be ascribed to inclusive contexts. The research was generated and guided by a specific research question: has the language used to compose the lyrics of the Zecchino d'Oro songs undergone an inclusive evolution from 1959, when the event began, to the present day? In an attempt to answer the above-mentioned research question, a textual analysis of the songs from thirty-two editions of Lo Zecchino d'Oro was carried out using the T-LAB software, paying particular attention to the frequency of occurrence of words over the years. Both a quantitative analysis was presented, which made it possible to identify 320 keywords, i.e. 10 for each of the 32 editions of the Zecchino d'Oro taken into consideration, and a more qualitative analysis, which made it possible to identify 247 keywords out of 320, i.e. 77.2% of the total, as inclusive. The trend over the years of the terms considered to be inclusive was highlighted, identifying more successive peaks and valleys from 1959 to 1979 and the achievement of greater stability in the numerical presence of inclusive terms from 1981 to 2021. Data analysis has shown a greater presence, over the years, of words and/or concepts linked to the enhancement of each person's uniqueness and thus closely related to the concept of inclusion. Despite the positivity of the data obtained, one is aware of the limitations of this research, which had a limited sample of texts considered (397 out of 804 available) and focused on the exclusive analysis of key words and not of the texts in their entirety or of the themes dealt with.
L’Elaborato di Tesi ha voluto indagare la possibile evoluzione linguistica in ottica inclusiva che ha interessato le canzoni della manifestazione canora per l’infanzia Zecchino d’Oro, dalle sue origini nel 1959 al 2021. Il percorso di ricerca è partito dall’analisi di materiale bibliografico che ha evidenziato l’universalità della musica, intesa come linguaggio in grado di veicolare messaggi, emozioni, sentimenti e desideri fin dalle origini dell’umanità, come testimoniato dagli studi di Blacking (1973), Bannan (1997), Mithen (2005) e Mado Proverbio (2019). Si sono successivamente messe in luce le comunanze e le differenze tra musica e linguaggio, mezzo mediante cui sono scritte le canzoni, e si sono esplicitate le tappe universalmente seguite da tutti i bambini e le bambine del mondo riferite allo sviluppo delle abilità sonore e musicali. Si sono successivamente menzionate le ragioni per le quali la musica può essere considerata un facilitatore dell’inclusione. Si sono poi analizzate alcune esperienze di musica inclusiva a livello internazionale e nazionale, approfondendo in particolar modo l’esperienza nata a Bologna nel 1959 e denominata Zecchino d’Oro. Dopo averne accennato il percorso storico e le figure che hanno contribuito a renderlo un modello di musica tecnicamente rigoroso ma al contempo profondamente inclusivo e rispettoso delle differenze, si è passati alla parte operativa dell’Elaborato di Tesi. La ricerca sperimentale presentata all’interno dell’ultimo capitolo ha indagato l’evoluzione del linguaggio che, dal 1959 al 2021, è stato impiegato per la scrittura dei testi delle canzoni della manifestazione canora per l’infanzia denominata Zecchino d’Oro. In particolare, si è voluto comprendere quali fossero le parole maggiormente presenti (ossia aventi un maggior numero di occorrenze all’interno dei testi) e se esse fossero o meno ascrivibili a contesti inclusivi. La ricerca è stata generata e guidata da una specifica domanda di ricerca: il linguaggio utilizzato per comporre i testi delle canzoni dello Zecchino d’Oro è stato oggetto di un’evoluzione in ottica inclusiva dal 1959, data d’inizio della manifestazione, ad oggi? Per tentare di rispondere alla succitata domanda di ricerca si è svolta, grazie all’utilizzo del software T-LAB, un’analisi testuale delle canzoni di trentadue edizioni de Lo Zecchino d’Oro, ponendo particolare attenzione alla frequenza di comparsa delle parole nel corso degli anni. Si è presentata sia un’analisi di tipo quantitativo, che ha permesso di individuare 320 parole chiave, ossia 10 per ognuna delle 32 edizioni dello Zecchino d’Oro prese in considerazione, sia un’analisi maggiormente qualitativa, che ha consentito di identificare come inclusive 247 parole chiave su 320, ossia il 77,2% del totale. Si è messo in luce l’andamento nel corso degli anni dei termini considerati inclusivi, individuando maggiormente dei successivi picchi e valli dal 1959 al 1979 e il raggiungimento di una maggiore stabilità della presenza numerica di termini inclusivi dal 1981 al 2021. L’analisi dei dati ha dimostrato una maggior presenza, nel corso degli anni, di parole e/o concetti legati alla valorizzazione dell’unicità di ogni persona e dunque strettamente relazionati al concetto d’inclusione. Nonostante la positività dei dati ottenuti si è consapevoli dei limiti di tale ricerca, avente un campione limitato di testi considerati (397 su 804 disponibili) e focalizzata sull’esclusiva analisi delle parole chiave e non dei testi nella loro interezza o delle tematiche trattate.
