AIM OF THE WORK: To evaluate the correlations between eating disorders and oral manifestations by reviewing the literature. MATERIALS AND METHODS: For the drafting of this paper, sites used for scientific dissemination were consulted, such as Pubmed and Cochrane. RESULTS: The studies confirmed and validated the correspondence that some oral manifestations were the cause of alterations in eating behaviors and established their interception. CONCLUSION: The interception of DCAs in recent years has established that they have increased exponentially. It is therefore important for the dental hygienist from a professional and empathic point of view to capture these disorders in order to monitor the patient in the stages of the disease and accompany him towards recovery

SCOPO DEL LAVORO: Valutare tramite revisione della letteratura le correlazioni tra i Disturbi del comportamento alimentare e delle manifestazioni orali. MATERIALI E METODI: Per la stesura di questo elaborato sono stati consultati siti adibiti alla divulgazione scientifica, come Pubmed e Cochrane. RISULTATI: Gli studi hanno confermato e validato la corrispondenza che alcune manifestazioni orali erano causa di alterazioni del comportamento alimentare e stabilirne il loro intercettamento. CONCLUSIONE: L’intercettamento dei DCA negli ultimi anni ha stabilito che questi ultimi sono aumentati esponenzialmente. E’ dunque importante da parte dell’igienista dentale dal punto di vista professionale ed empatico che captare questi disturbi al fine di monitorare il paziente negli stadi della patologia ed accompagnarlo verso la guarigione.
