The thesis has a main focus on the applications of biomaterials in Neural Tissue Engineering. The first part concerns hydrogels and poly-pyrrole, which can be used as an effective substrate for neural stem cells’ differentiation and proliferation. The last chapter is about the clinical applications in Nanomedicine, which make use of biomaterials for therapies against neurodegenerative disorders.
La tesi si incentra sulle applicazioni dei biomateriali nell’Ingegneria Tessutale Neurale. Vengono trattati nella prima parte gli hydrogel e il polipirrolo, che rappresentano un efficace substrato per il differenziamento e la proliferazione delle cellule staminali neurali. Nell’ultimo capitolo verranno trattate le applicazioni cliniche in Nanomedicina che utilizzano biomateriali per le terapie contro malattie neurodegenerative.
