The thesis deals with the theme of the social withdrawal of teenagers known as "Hikikomori" that has originated in Japan and it has recently manifested also in Italy. The thesis is divided into three chapters: in the first chapter, the phenomenon of Hikikomori is explained and also how it is manifested; in the second one, the causes that lead to social withdrawal and the risks associated to this withdrawal are explained; the last chapter deals with treatments and rehabilitation of the teens affected by this phenomenon.
La tesi tratta il tema del ritiro sociale degli adolescenti conosciuto come "Hikikomori" che ha origine in Giappone e che si è manifestato recentemente anche in Italia. Questo elaborato si divide in tre capitoli: nel primo capitolo, viene spiegato il fenomeno Hikikomori e come si manifesta; nel secondo capitolo, vengono trattate le cause che portano al ritiro sociale negli adolescenti e i rischi associati a questo ritiro; infine, l'ultimo capitolo prende in esame il trattamento e la riabilitazione degli adolescenti colpiti da questo fenomeno.

Abstract
