La tutela della maternità dal Novecento ad oggi, attraverso il modello imprenditoriale di Luisa Spagnoli

The thesis is focused on motherhood, the role of the working mother and how this has evolved over the years. I will start from the twentieth century, years in which the working mother was considered a bad model and excluded from society. In contrast, I will bring the example of Luisa Spagnoli, a daring and courageous entrepreneur who, in the years of the First World War, created an empire of women only. She established schools to reconcile work and maternity, literacy courses for the emancipation of women, thanks to her, paid maternity leave and the right to breastfeeding in the workplace were born. Subsequently I will deepen the legislations during the corporate period and the republican period, up to the present day, in which there is the prohibition of discrimination, dismissal (with its exceptions), I will deepen the theme of parental leave and maternity leave, making always a distinction between subordinate work and self-employment.

La tesi sarà incentrata sulla maternità, sul ruolo della lavoratrice madre e come questo si è evoluto negli anni. Partirò dal Novecento, anni in cui la lavoratrice madre veniva considerata come un cattivo modello ed esclusa dalla società. In contrapposizione porterò l'esempio di Luisa Spagnoli, imprenditrice audace e coraggiosa che, negli anni della prima guerra mondiale, creò un impero di sole donne. Istituì scuole ed asili per conciliare lavoro e maternità, corsi di alfabetizzazione per l'emancipazione della donna, inoltre, grazie a lei nacquero i congedi di maternità retribuiti e il diritto di allattamento nel posto di lavoro. Successivamente approfondirò le legislazioni durante il periodo corporativo e il periodo repubblicano, fino ad arrivare ai giorni nostri, in cui vige il divieto di discriminazione, di licenziamento (con le sue eccezzioni), approfondirò il tema dei congedi parentali e del congedo di maternità, facendo sempre una distizione tra lavoro subordinato e lavoro autonomo.
