Abstract
The child, from birth, through diadic interactions with the caregiver, develops increasingly greater regulatory skills. In a family context characterized by abuse and mistreatment, however, there is a distortion of what are the natural modes of relationship, which involves a trauma in the child. It is characterized from the symptomatological point of view by several manifestations, among which there is the emotional dysregulation, and can lead to repercussions at various levels, in relation to trauma exposure, age, duration, and the protective and resilience factors of the child. In any case, however, there is an alteration in the functioning, which can affect one or more areas of development of the child. The work comes from an interest in the difficulties of emotional regulation in this case of children, and from the personal desire to deepen a theme so present in the territory, but still little dealt in literature from the point of view of childhood rehabilitation. Therefore, this work prefigures to highlight the importance of neuropsychomotor intervention, since, in these children, the deprivation and ill-treatment suffered are inscribed in their bodily experience, and it is thanks to the reworking of these experiences through the game that they can be communicated verbally. The aim is, therefore, to demonstrate how the Neuro and Psychomotricity Therapist of developmental age, as a professional in the scope of child rehabilitation, is one of the reference figures for taking charge of children victims of abuse and abuse; furthermore, it is intended to highlight how, through the body and the game, nucleus at the base of the training of the professional figure, can allow an increased emotional regulation and a first reworking of traumatic experiences, thanks to a relationship of trust in a protected environment. Such treatment goes to implement the regulatory skills, and can be considered the first step for a psychotherapeutic intervention, especially in very young or particularly traumatized children.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
