The thesis presented consists of an analysis of the operation and efficiency of the radioisotopes thermoelectric generators for space applications, paying particular attention to the main thermoelectric effect that guarantees the conversion of heat into electricity: the Seebeck effect. The conducted study focuses on the evaluation of the design and the different applications of the RTGs also in the face of different radioactive sources and thermoelectric materials.

Abstract
The thesis presented consists of an analysis of the operation and efficiency of the radioisotopes thermoelectric generators for space applications, paying particular attention to the main thermoelectric effect that guarantees the conversion of heat into electricity: the Seebeck effect. The conducted study focuses on the evaluation of the design and the different applications of the RTGs also in the face of different radioactive sources and thermoelectric materials.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
