Revisione sistematica del concetto di memoria frammentata nel PTSD

The present study deals with critically analyzing the concept of fragmented memory in patients with post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). The aim has been to explore through the review of the most recent research, the post-traumatic stress disorder, and its diagnosis in the clinical and forensic field, and the related evaluation tools used in these two areas. The study of fragmented memory has been developed through the analysis of the characteristics of traumatic memory and how individuals build and integrate memory, and relate it through narration. Recent discoveries have revealed how traumatic narratives are dominated by sensory/perceptive and emotional details. The study of narrative aspects (fragmentation, length, temporal context and references to the self) has yielded heterogeneous results, in light of the current state of PTSD research.

Il presente studio, si è occupato di analizzare criticamente il concetto di memoria frammentata nei pazienti con disturbo da stress post-traumatico (PTSD). L’obiettivo è stato quello di sviscerare attraverso la revisione delle ricerche più recenti, il disturbo post traumatico da stress, e la sua diagnosi in ambito clinico ed in ambito forense, e i relativi strumenti di valutazione utilizzati in questi due ambiti. Lo studio della memoria frammentata è stato sviluppato attraverso l’analisi delle caratteristiche del ricordo traumatico e di come gli individui costruiscano ed integrino il ricordo, e lo riferiscano attraverso la narrazione. Le scoperte recenti hanno rivelato come le narrazioni traumatiche siano dominate da dettagli sensoriali/percettivi ed emotivi. Lo studio degli aspetti narrativi (frammentazione, lunghezza, contesto temporale e riferimenti al sé) hanno fornito risultati eterogenei, alla luce dello stato attuale della ricerca sul PTSD.
