Over the past decade, personal and non-personal data have progressively gained significant importance for businesses and the market in general, so much so that they are now considered the most important economic resource in many sectors. In order to fully exploit the potential of data for the economy, it is necessary to develop regulations that can increase the accessibility and reuse of data among private and public actors in many areas of production and service activities while maintaining high levels of privacy, security, safety and ethical standards.
