Studio di sistemi di cattura massale per cimice asiatica Halyomorpha halys e sua dannosità su melo

In this study an experimental mass capture system was tested with the aim to improve brown marmorated stink bug (Halyomorpha halys) control in apple orchards of Veneto region. Technical aspects were investigated in particular: density of mass trapping systems; infestation level according to the distance of mass capture systems from the edge of the orchard and the impact on fruit damage. d. A second experiment was also carried out to evaluate the damage caused by the pest on the main apple cultivars; this experiment was performed through controlled infestations in sleeves on the plant by placing adult individuals at different densities per fruit. The apple cultivars investigated were Royal Gala, Golden Delicious, Imperatore Dallago and Granny Smith.

Nel presente lavoro di tesi sono stati indagati alcuni aspetti legati alla messa a punto di sistemi di cattura massale per il contenimento della cimice asiatica, Halyomorpha halys, in meleti in Veneto. Sono stati studiati aspetti legati alla densità (numero di unità per superficie di frutteto) e alla distanza dal bordo del frutteto dei sistemi di cattura massale sull’infestazione del fitofago e sull’entità del danno su frutta. È inoltre stato effettuato un secondo esperimento per valutare il danno causato dal fitofago sulle principali cultivar di melo, tramite infestazioni controllate in manicotti su pianta con adulti di cimice asiatica a diverse densità per frutto. Le cultivar di melo indagate sono state Royal Gala, Golden Delicious, Imperatore Dallago e Granny Smith.
