Olympe de Gouges et « la Déclaration des droits de la femme et de la citoyenne » : la revanche des droits de la femme

Olympe de Gouges, playwright and pamphlettist known to the Parisian public, poses the problem of feminism following the "Declaration of Human and Citizen Rights", where the revolution completely forgot women in the project of freedom and equality. The author published in 1791 the 'Déclaration des droits de la femme et de la citoyenne' with the intention of giving women their rights and duties. How the author and her writing in a socio-cultural and political context are placed, the dedication and commitment of a woman who went well beyond the limits imposed and the analysis of two of the seventeen articles, will be the subject of analysis of this study.

Olympe de Gouges, drammaturga e pamphlettista nota al pubblico parigino, pone il problema del femminismo in seguito alla “Dichiarazione dei diritti dell’uomo e del cittadino”, dove la rivoluzione dimenticò completamente le donne nel progetto di libertà e uguaglianza. L'autrice pubblica nel 1791 la 'Déclaration des droits de la femme et de la citoyenne' con l'intento di attribuire anche alle donne i loro diritti e doveri. Come si collochi l'autrice e il suo scritto in un contesto socio-culturale e politico, da dedizione e l'impegno di una donna che si spinse ben oltre i limiti imposti e l'analisi di due dei diciasette articoli, saranno l'oggetto di analisi di questo studio.
