The thesis deals with the fallacy of young people today as an obstacle to intergenerational dialogue through a historical overview that focuses in particular on ancient Greece, Ancient Rome and the Middle Ages researching the various types of argumentative fallacy from the point of view of pragmatics integrating them with emblematic examples that help understanding. Moreover, the thesis also frames the general cross-section of the current situation of youth ageism, describing the phenomenon of technological victimhood, the reversal of the traditional asymmetry of the pedagogical relationship and the fact that adults project and see their insecurities materialize in young people.
La tesi affronta il tema della fallacia dei giovani d’oggi come ostacolo al dialogo intergenerazionale attraverso una panoramica storica che si focalizza in particolar modo sull’antica Grecia, antica Roma e Medioevo ricercando le varie tipologie di fallacia argomentativa dal punto di vista della pragmatica integrandole con esempi emblematici che aiutino la comprensione. Inoltre, la tesi inquadra anche lo spaccato generale della situazione dell’ageismo giovanile attuale, descrivendo il fenomeno del vittimismo tecnologico, il ribaltamento dell’asimmetria tradizionale del rapporto pedagogico e il fatto che gli adulti proiettano e vedono materializzarsi nei giovani le proprie insicurezze.
