The thesis will deal with the evolution of the tourism sector of film-induced tourism within the city of Venice, underlining the potential and critical tourist issues of the city, proposing an improvement in the tourist offer linked to the audiovisual sector that can potentially help the Organization of Destination Management in the management of film-induced tourism in Venice. The first chapter aims to give broad-spectrum notions on the concepts of tourism, and on its growth over the course of history up to the present day, understanding the consequences of the Covid-19 pandemic and the impacts of the war between Russia and Ukraine. The second chapter defines the tourist destination and the basic concepts of Destination Management and Destination Marketing. The third chapter focuses on the definition of film-induced tourism and all its theoretical contents. The fourth chapter gives a general vision of tourism in the Veneto region, while in the fifth chapter the themes of tourism in Venice are deepened, highlighting the organizational management aspects, the potential, the sustainability criticalities highlighted by UNESCO and the related responses, for then conclude the chapter with the link between the Venetian territory and cinema from a tourist point of view. The sixth and last chapter instead contains the personal proposals that can improve the quality of the film-induced tourism offer in the city by building an integrated management that can potentially help both the user and the city Destination Management.
La tesi si occuperà dell'evoluzione del settore turistico del film-induced tourism all'interno della città di Venezia sottolineando le potenzialità e le criticità turistiche cittadine, proponendo un miglioramento dell'offerta turistica legata al settore audiovisivo che possa potenzialmente aiutare l'Organizzazione di Gestione della Destinazione nella gestione del film-induced tourism a Venezia. Il primo capitolo ha l'obbiettivo di dare nozioni ad ampio spettro sui concetti di turismo, e sulla sua crescita nel corso della storia fino ai giorni nostri comprendendone le conseguenze della pandemia da Covid-19 e gli impatti della guerra tra Russia e Ucraina. Il secondo capitolo definisce la destinazione turistica e i concetti base di Destination Management e Destination Marketing. Il terzo capitolo si focalizza sulla definizione del film-induced tourism e tutti i suoi contenuti teorici. Il quarto capitolo da una visione generale del turismo nella regione del Veneto, mentre nel quinto si approfondiscono i temi del turismo a Venezia, evidenziandone gli aspetti organizzativi di gestione, le potenzialità, le criticità di sostenibilità sottolineate dall'UNESCO e le relative risposte, per poi concludere il capitolo con il legame tra il territorio veneziano e il cinema in ottica turistica. Il sesto e ultimo capitolo invece contiene le proposte personali che possono migliorare la qualità dell'offerta del film-induced tourism nella città costruendone una gestione integrata che possa potenzialmente aiutare sia il fruitore che il Destination Management cittadino.
