This paper deals with the theme of flânerie and slow walking in the city, both from a theoretical and a practical point of view. Initially the topic of walking is treated as a rediscovery of everyday places and a tool for building the landscape. The birth and evolution of the flânerie in the context of the city is then outlined, the main intellectuals involved and the figure of the flâneur, or the cultured citizen who walks around the city and immerses himself in the crowd to observe it. This practice allows you to overturn stereotypes, focus on your own sensations and train your attention to detail. Starting from these premises, a slow crossing itinerary in the historic center of the city of Trento is proposed for students of the three-year period of upper secondary school. The overall idea of this course is to offer students a change of perspective, thinking with different eyes and learning to cross the city in an aware, attentive and interested way so as to encourage the growth of active citizens with a critical sense.
