The thesis analyses the downsides that misinformation has in the political-economic area. It unveils the motives and argues the consequences that sharing false information brings. It specifically argues how the distribution of fake news coming from politicians, managers and other remarkable figures influences the common welfare and the firm's one, showing how such people gain from sharing false belifs, meanwhile the collective bears the costs. Lastly, it looks at the methods that can be used to decrease this phenomenon, in order to reduce its downsides.

Guarda, infine, alle modalità con cui si può porre rimedio a tale fenomeno, al fine di ridurne l'mpatto negativo
