The research aims to analyse the problem of vocabulary teaching in Latin didactics. Initially, the status of lexical teaching in Latin didactics is summarised; it is also explained why it is important to study Latin vocabulary and what are the causes of the crisis in lexical teaching (Chapter 1). This is followed by an examination of the theoretical principles on which to base the construction of effective, motivating and lasting vocabulary teaching (Chapter 2). Then, there is an exposition of practical methods of vocabulary teaching, i.e. useful tools and didactic proposals for teaching Latin vocabulary (Chapter 3). Next, attention is focused on lexical teaching in the case of students with SLD (Chapter 4). Finally, the general criteria to be taken into account when teaching Latin vocabulary are outlined (Chapter 5).
La ricerca si propone di analizzare il problema dell’insegnamento del lessico nella didattica del latino. Inizialmente viene riassunto lo statuto dell’insegnamento lessicale nella didattica del latino; inoltre si spiega perché è importante studiare il vocabolario latino e quali sono le cause della crisi dell’insegnamento lessicale (capitolo 1). Si prosegue con una disamina dei princìpi teorici su cui basare la costruzione di una didattica del lessico efficace, motivante e duratura (capitolo 2). In seguito vengono esposti i metodi pratici di insegnamento lessicale, ossia strumenti e proposte didattiche utili per insegnare il vocabolario latino (capitolo 3). Successivamente si concentra l’attenzione sull’insegnamento lessicale in caso di studenti con DSA (capitolo 4). Infine vengono esposti i criteri generali da tenere in considerazione nell’insegnamento del lessico latino (capitolo 5).
