In this document I expose the key concepts of the technologies seen and studied during the stage. I will explain the characteristics of MySQL database and his possible infrastructures to offer an HA (High Availability) service. I will explore the architecture, use and management of a Kubernetes cluster. I will talk about the functionalities made available to by the Mysql Operator for kubernetes tool, provided by Oracle Corporation, which allows you to deploy and manage an MySQL InnoDB cluster on Kubernetes.
In questo documento espongo i concetti chiave delle tecnologie viste e studiate durante il tirocinio. spiegherò le caratteristiche del database MySQL e le infrastrutture realizzabili per offrire un servizio di HA (High Availability). approfondirò l’architettura, l’utilizzo e la gestione di un cluster Kubernetes. parlerò delle funzionalità messe a disposizione dal tool Mysql Operator for kubernetes, fornito da Oracle Corporation, che permette di istanziare e gestire un cluster MySQL InnoDB all’interno di Kubernetes.
