Studio sull'utilizzo di illusioni ottiche come possibile strumento di arricchimento per Danio rerio

The objective of this thesis is to study the effect of some motion illusions on Danio rerio. In detail, illusions were used to enhance and make more realistic sone static images of Zebrafish, so that we could study this species social behaviour and develop new enrichment instruments for the future . Studying the behavioural data we concluded that there was no preference for our illusion stimuli.

Lo scopo della tesi è di studiare l'effetto di alcune illusioni ottiche di movimento su Danio rerio. In particolare, le illusioni sono state utilizzate per cercare di rendere più realistiche delle sagome statiche di zebrafish, col fine di studiare il comportamento gregario di zebrafish e sviluppare possibili nuovi strumenti di arrichimento. I risultati ricavati dall'analisi di dati comportamentali non hanno mostrato preferenze significative per gli stimoli presentati.
