The purpose of the thesis is to go into the parameters that influence the power output of a high specific power engine, normally used in the racing world. Practical examples of how Formula 1 racing teams have tried to improve the various issues addressed are also given in the writing.

Lo scopo della tesi è quello di andare a valutare i parametri che influenzano la potenza di un motore ad alta potenza specifica, normalmente usati nel mondo delle corse. Nella stesura sono riportati anche esempi pratici di come scuderie di Formula 1 hanno provato a migliorare le varie problematiche trattate.
