L'impatto del Covid sul turismo a livello globale e il caso della Spagna

The thesis deals with the impact and transformations that have taken place in the tourism sector as a result of the pandemic, with the aim of highlighting the changes that have emerged globally, with an in-depth analysis of the situation in Italy and Spain. The first part of the paper analyzes the impact of the virus on international tourism with the consequent birth of new travel trends and new travellers' behaviour. The second part examines the reactions to COVID-19 of the various tourism sectors, accommodation facilities, transport, tourist attractions and cultural heritage in Italy and in some of the most representative countries to analyze the diversity of strategies that have been adopted to overcome the severely negative period. Finally, the case study of Spain is presented, namely the impact of the pandemic on Spanish tourism.

La tesi affronta il tema dell’impatto e delle trasformazioni avvenute nel settore turistico in conseguenza della pandemia, con l’obiettivo di evidenziare i cambiamenti emersi a livello globale, con un approfondimento sulla situazione dell’Italia e della Spagna. Nella prima parte dell’elaborato viene analizzato l’impatto del virus sul turismo internazionale con la conseguente nascita di nuove tendenze di viaggio e nuovi comportamenti dei viaggiatori. Nella seconda parte si prendono in esame le reazioni al COVID-19 dei diversi comparti turistici, strutture ricettive, trasporti, attrazioni turistiche e beni culturali in Italia e in alcuni dei paesi più rappresentativi per analizzare la diversità delle strategie che sono state adottate per superare il periodo fortemente negativo. Infine, viene presentato il case study della Spagna, ossia l’impatto della pandemia sul turismo spagnolo.
