The aim of this work is to illustrate the differences between the Czech language and the Slovak language in several respects. The first chapter deals with the historical events that led to the birth of today's Czech Republic and Slovak Republic as well as historical development of their respective languages, from the origins of the first Slavic settlements to the present day. In the second part the two languages are subjected to a comparison from the phonetic, morphological, grammatical and syntactic point of view. The last chapter presents a concrete linguistic analysis, which proves what is stated in the second chapter on the basis of a concrete text, i.e. through the comparison of the Czech and Slovak translations of the book The Little Prince by the French author Antoine de Saint-Exupéry.

In the second part the two languages are subjected to a comparison from the phonetic, morphological, grammatical and syntactic point of view. The last chapter presents a concrete linguistic analysis, which proves what is stated in the second chapter on the basis of a concrete text, i.e. through the comparison of the Czech and Slovak translations of the book The Little Prince by the French author Antoine de Saint-Exupéry.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
