Barchessa Bressa-Loredan is a building of historical interest located in Selva del Montello that dates back to the late 15th century, once part of the estate that included a sumptuous palace demolished around 1840, known as "il Palazzon." This paper traces the origins and evolution of the Venetian villa and the relationship between buildings and waterways during the Serenissima era, with a focus on the territory of Treviso and the construction and structuring of the Brentella river. The analysis of the barchessa and the demolished villa extends to the 18th century when the Palazzon complex was restored by architect Giorgio Massari; the architectural study of the buildings is also based on comparisons with other works by the Venetian master.
