The purpose of the following thesis is to analyze the growth potential of Chinese outbound tourism to Italy. Italy’s appearance has great importance in China. Chinese people are attracted by the Italian artistic and natural heritage, by the “Made in Italy” products ad by Italian food and wine. This thesis will analyze the characteristics of Chinese tourists, which Italian products they do prefer, the reason for their trips to Italy, how the Italian destination welcomes them and how they promote the destination to develop this type of tourism.
L’obiettivo del seguente elaborato è di analizzare la potenzialità di crescita del turismo outbound cinese verso l’Italia. L’immagine dell’Italia ha grande rilievo in Cina. I cinesi sono attratti dal patrimonio artistico e paesaggistico italiano, dai prodotti ‘Made in Italy’ e dall’enogastronomia italiana. La tesi andrà ad analizzare le caratteristiche dei turisti cinesi, i prodotti turistici italiani da loro preferiti, il motivo dei loro viaggi in Italia, come la destinazione italiana li accoglie e come promuove il territorio per sviluppare questa tipologia di turismo.
