The itinerary proposed in this paper allows you to make a journey into the "world of disability", addressing the issue of sport for athletes with disabilities. Passing the life of a person with disabilities in sport, but above all thinking about a "special" athlete affects the social imagination. For this reason, the aim of the research was to look at sport as an unprecedented and further opportunity to relaunch the and for the person with disabilities, as an athlete. The question that this thesis has sought to answer is defined in these terms: whether and how sport is able to fit into the wider project of life of athletes with disabilities by offering an opportunity to feed the staff capability set? Observing disability in a perspective of change, reciprocity and inclusion, the aim was to highlight and enhance the growth path of the athlete as a person, able to flourish their aspirations and ability to self-determination, beyond the stumbling blocks. After having problematized the social and symbolic representation of disability and having documented the experience of sport in disability, we have entered into the heart of the proposal through a qualitative research. The field experience, in its exploratory essence, saw as main interlocutors the nine athletes of the Baseball team For Blind in Rovigo who, through a semi-structured interview, were able to retrace their biography and experience, telling of achievements, not only in sports but also in life. The collected testimonies narrated how sport has allowed (re)to find themselves alive, capable and free not to feel "people with disabilities".

Abstract
The itinerary proposed in this paper allows you to make a journey into the "world of disability", addressing the issue of sport for athletes with disabilities. Passing the life of a person with disabilities in sport, but above all thinking about a "special" athlete affects the social imagination.
