The subject of this master's thesis is the foreign policy of the Trump Administration and, through a critical analysis, it aims to demonstrate how this foreign policy was not driven by chaos or randomness, as some have argued and still argue, but by a systemic approach that remarked the presence of recurring features: this is what I have defined “the Trump method”. A second objective of the thesis is to demonstrate how the “Trump method” has led to a substantial methodological change in the conduct of foreign policy between the Trump Administration and the previous ones; however, it is important to emphasise that this change only affected the method of conducting US foreign policy and had nothing to do with the objectives that drive the United States in the international arena. The existence of the “Trump method” and the methodological rupture between Trump and his predecessors will be demonstrated through the analysis of President Trump’s foreign policy choices. In the thesis there will also be further insights into the President's foreign policy and its logic.

Abstract
In the thesis there will also be further insights into the President's foreign policy and its logic.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
