In this thesis are presented some models and tools for the analysis of energy consumption in buildings of many type (residential ones, commercial, single houses) and from different year of construction. The focus is on the research, creation and application of data-driven models but with some considerations about physical aspects of the buildings studied too. The main topics of the analysis are the splitting of the global demand into the domestic hot water and the space heating use (with the application and presentation of many case studies and experiments) and the factors that influence the global demand of energy in a building. Analysis of two case studies: Tartu (entire year database) and Verona (partial database) DHN.

Abstract

In this thesis are presented some models and tools for the analysis of energy consumption in buildings of many type (residential ones, commercial, single houses) and from different year of construction. The focus is on the research, creation and application of data-driven models but with some considerations about physical aspects of the buildings studied too. The main topics of the analysis are the splitting of the global demand into the domestic hot water and the space heating use (with the application and presentation of many case studies and experiments) and the factors that influence the global demand of energy in a building. Analysis of two case studies: Tartu (entire year database) and Verona (partial database) DHN.
