The Covid-19 pandemic has impacted health care worldwide and caused serious complications in the care of people with chronic health conditions, requiring ongoing disease management to reduce adverse health risks. This systematic review aims to investigate the consequences of the Covid-19 pandemic on the management and care of patients with cardiovascular disease within health care services. The results showed a substantial reduction in hospitalization rates, worse disease conditions, decreased volumes of diagnostic and outpatient procedures, interventions and operations, and mixed results in terms of mortality in patients for various cardiovascular diseases after the advent of the Covid-19 pandemic. In conclusion, the pandemic has challenged the health care of patients with cardiovascular diseases.
