This thesis is about networking as an on working-method to figure out gender-based-violence cases. Presented datas were collected in the past decade in Italy. Together with the reported theories, datas show how the phenomenon of violence against women is based on male supremacy over them. This type of violence is therefore called “gender-based violence”, according to Instanbul Convention. It encompasses all forms of discrimination, such as violation of rights and acts of violence based on human gender. Thereafter, the work of social service and the role of social workers as promoters, through their work are shown off: it underlines the importance of their aim to empower people and help them to develop their own psycho-physical and relational well-being. Furthermore, this thesis points out how network carried out by social workers, together with professionals and institutional services, has a fundamental importance in the fight against gender-based violence, through methods and tools in order to protect women, and any minors involved. Moreover, it highlights the importance of raising public awareness for greater prevention of the phenomenon too.
