Over the past years, there has been an increasing focus on negative effects and problematic aspects of internet pornography addiction. Despite the consensus among scholars about how to conceptualize and measure problematic pornography use, several psychometric tools were developed. Many of them revealed the significant correlations between problematic pornography use and varied psychopathological conditions. The aim of this study was to investigate whether internet pornography addiction may have an impact on young adults’ satisfaction with life, feelings of loneliness, anxiety, depression, and the risks for developing suicidal ideation or behavior. Although suicide is one of the most common causes of death worldwide among young people, in the literature, the accounts of comparisons between cyber pornography addiction and the risks for suicidality have been not studied extensively. The proposed research will add to the literature by filling the existing gaps on this field and try to provide a better understanding of the various effects young adults may experience due to the internet pornography addiction.

Abstract
The proposed research will add to the literature by filling the existing gaps on this field and try to provide a better understanding of the various effects young adults may experience due to the internet pornography addiction.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
