The first part of the paper presents a literature survey on transversal skills, the BESSI instrument, and children's satisfaction with their school choice made for grade II high school. The paper delves into the recently introduced concept of SEBskills and their application in the school setting, as well as their possibility to be implemented with various teaching methods. The second part focuses on an experimental research carried out directly in several classrooms of boys in Northern Italy. Through the administration of the BESSI, which allows for a measurement of the main SEBskills, and a specially constructed questionnaire to measure satisfaction with grade II high school choice, it is possible to observe and make a correlational estimate of how the level of soft skills influences school choice satisfaction and vice versa. In addition, possible differences in gender, chosen address and age can be investigated. The objective of the research is to test an instrument that seeks to measure satisfaction within a specific aspect in the natural course of an Italian student given the countless benefits that a correct and satisfactory decision can have on mood and productivity and conversely a wrong choice can have repercussion on the children's well-being, their grades and even their overall life satisfaction.
La prima parte dell'elaborato è una ricerca bibliografica svolta indagando la letteratura sulle competenze trasversali, lo strumento BESSI e la soddisfazione dei ragazzi per la scelta della scuola superiore di II grado. L'elaborato approfondisce il concetto di SEBskills, recentemente introdotto, e la sua applicazione in ambito scolastico, nonché la possibilità di essere implementato con diversi metodi di insegnamento. La seconda parte è una ricerca sperimentale svolta attraverso la somministrazione del BESSI, che permette di misurare le principali SEBskills, e di un questionario appositamente costruito per misurare la soddisfazione per la scelta della scuola superiore di II grado. è possibile osservare e stimare in modo correlazionale come il livello di soft skills influenzi la soddisfazione per la scelta scolastica e viceversa. Inoltre, è possibile indagare eventuali differenze di genere, indirizzo scelto ed età. L'obiettivo della ricerca è quello di testare uno strumento che cerchi di misurare la soddisfazione nell'ambito di un aspetto specifico del percorso naturale di uno studente italiano, visti gli innumerevoli benefici che una scelta corretta e soddisfacente può avere sull'umore e sulla produttività e, al contrario, una scelta sbagliata può avere ripercussioni sul benessere dei ragazzi, sui loro voti e persino sulla loro soddisfazione di vita complessiva.
