This paper focuses on the development and awareness of the importance of Soft Skills, necessary in the professional, academic and personal spheres. The mastery of soft skills, even before the technical and Hard skills of a specific sector, is considered indispensable for employability and professional success. The educational field, in particular the university one, has the task of promoting learning with regard to these skills, which affect both the cognitive and the emotional range. The following work focuses on leadership skills and the interdependence with emotional intelligence, entering the university context with the ideation, the design and implementation of an extracurricular laboratory proposed to the students of electronic engineering course of the University of Padua. The intervention used an experiential methodology that saw as the protagonist the instrument of the picturebook, a book that is composed of verbal and iconic language. It was carefully chosen a specific book entitled "Inside Me", written by Alex Cousseau and illustrated by Kitty Crowther. Quality work that allowed to reconnect to the theme of emotional intelligence in leadership, evoking relevant interpretations and meaning. In this experiment it has been enhanced as a tool mediator of meanings, both for individual reflection and for comparison and group discussion.
Il presente elaborato pone l’attenzione allo sviluppo e alla presa di consapevolezza dell’importanza delle competenze trasversali, necessarie in ambito professionale, accademico e personale. La padronanza delle soft skills, ancor prima delle competenze tecniche e disciplinari proprie di un determinato settore, è ritenuta indispensabile per l’occupabilità lavorativa e il successo professionale. L’ambito formativo, in particolare quello universitario, ha il compito di farsi promotore di apprendimento per quanto concerne queste skills, che interessano sia la sfera cognitiva che quella emotiva. Il seguente lavoro analizza in particolar modo le competenze di leadership e l’interdipendenza con l’intelligenza emotiva, inserendosi all’interno del contesto universitario con l’ideazione, la progettazione e l’attuazione di un laboratorio extracurricolare proposto agli studenti del corso di ingegneria elettronica dell’Università di Padova. L’intervento ha utilizzato una metodologia esperienziale che ha visto come protagonista lo strumento dell’albo illustrato, un libro che si compone di linguaggio verbale e iconico. È stato accuratamente scelto uno specifico albo intitolato “Dentro Me”, scritto da Alex Cousseau e illustrato da Kitty Crowther. Opera di qualità che ha permesso di ricollegarsi al tema dell’intelligenza emotiva nella leadership, evocando interpretazioni pertinenti e di senso. In questa sperimentazione è stato valorizzato come strumento mediatore di significati, sia per la riflessione individuale che per il confronto e la discussione in gruppo.
