Abstract
Electoral events in recent years have ignited discussion around the negative effects of disinformation on voters and democracies. The scientific literature, over time, has come to discordant conclusions for a variety of reasons, including technical and procedural limitations. For these reasons, a review capable of putting together the different pieces taking into account the aforementioned issues is deemed necessary. The conclusions reached confirm a strong presence of fake news within information systems, which, however, are consumed by a few individuals. In addition, misinformation has no statistically significant effect on voting dynamics.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
