Le Smart Cities in Italia

In this thesis divided into 3 chapters we will discover the theme of smart cities in our area. In the first chapter we will define the meaning of smart city through the definitions of various authors, we will then understand the main characteristics and the dimensions that unite them. In the second chapter we will focus on the classification of a smart city, how to give it an evaluation, then understanding the European situation through classifications, and then focus on Italian smart cities. Each of these will then be examined to understand the services it offers and the opportunities present. Finally, in the third chapter we will observe the possible correlation between smart cities and per capita GDP growth in its territory. In fact, the goal is to understand if smart cities are actually the main and significant driver of economic growth and development.

In questa tesi divisa in 3 capitoli si andrà a scoprire il tema delle smart cities nel nostro territorio. Nel primo capitolo andremo a definire il significato di smart city attraverso le definizioni di vari autori, ne capiremo poi le caratteristiche principali e le dimensioni che le accomunano. Nel secondo capitolo ci si focalizzerà sulla classificazione di una smart city, come darle una valutazione, capendo poi la situazione europea attraverso delle classifiche, per poi concentrarsi sulle smart cities italiane. Si prenderà poi in esame ognuna di questa per capire i servizi che offre e le opportunità presenti. Nel terzo capitolo infine si osserverà quella che è la possibile correlazione tra smart city e crescita del PIL pro capite nel suo territorio. Infatti l’obiettivo è quello di capire se le smart cities sono effettivamente driver principale e significativo della crescita e dello sviluppo economico.
