Social skills are those abilities that allow a person to engage in appropriate behaviors that allow to come into contact with other people, to "be" in a group and to feel part of the same; to adapt, to know and understand himself and others. At school, but generally in educational contexts, social skills are crucial to creating and maintaining a positive atmosphere within the classroom. Music therapy is a suitable means of promoting this type of ability. At school, in fact, it is practiced in groups. It assumes, on these occasions, the integrating function of social dynamics favoring a harmonious development of all students, both neurotypical and affected by cognitive deficits.
Le abilità sociali sono quelle capacità che permettono alla persona di mettere in atto comportamenti adeguati che consento di entrare in contatto con altre persone, di “stare” in gruppo e di sentirsi parte dello stesso; di adattarsi, di conoscere e capire sé stesso e gli altri. A scuola, ma in generale nei contesti educativi e formativi, le abilità sociali sono determinanti per creare e mantenere un clima positivo all’interno della classe. La musicoterapia costituisce un mezzo adatto alla promozione di questo tipo di abilità. Nel contesto scolastico, infatti, viene praticata in gruppo. Essa assume, in queste occasioni, la funzione integratrice delle dinamiche sociali favorendo uno sviluppo armonioso di tutti gli studenti, sia normodotati sia affetti da deficit di natura cognitiva.
