The following dissertation is the result of my internship experience at Sanmarco Informatica SpA, an IT consulting company, which supports its customers in adopting the most suitable software solutions for their business needs. The project described was born from the collaboration with Minelli S.p.A., a company located in Bergamo and among the leaders of the custom wood components industry. The company, in fact, has chosen to implement the software developed by Sanmarco Informatica (“Supply Chain Collaboration”) for the management of the suppliers, in a perspective of continuous improvement of its supply chain and cost reduction. From the initial analysis of the business processes, it emerged that the supply chain needed to be more transparent towards all its actors, in an optics of collaboration between the company and its suppliers. After the software implementation phase, the supply chain, managed through Supply Chain Collaboration software, will become more integrated and more easily manageable, allowing to have a more precise control of the ongoing working, guarantee more on-time deliveries and thus increase profitability of the company. The purpose of the following thesis work, therefore, is to report and analyse the steps taken in the implementation of the software solution and the results obtained, in relation to the specific criticalities found in the company.
