Prayers or Meditations and The Lamentation of a Sinner: the evolution of Katherine Parr's religious position

This thesis focuses on Katherine Parr's "Prayers or Meditations" and "The Lamentation of a Sinner". Through the analysis of her texts, it is possible to see an evolution in Parr's religious position. The first chapter will present a short biography of Katherine Parr and in the second chapter I will analyse her "Prayers or Meditations", a text in which Katherine still maintains a middle position between the Catholic and Protestant faith. In the third chapter I will focus on her "Lamentation of a Sinner", a text in which Katherine leaves her unstable position behind and openly aligns with the reformes.
