La considerazione della pittura nelle Lezioni hegeliane di estetica del 1823

The research moves from the Hegelian consideration of art as a means of self-knowledge of the spirit. The study sought to highlight, within the Hegelian system of art, in what sense the painting is functional to a self-knowledge of the spirit, privileged instrument compared to other artistic forms. As a romantic art, the art of subjectivity, painting has the ability to express the most intimate folds of the soul, through the use of an almost spiritual matter, light and its particularization in color. Art is also an expression of the historical period, so in the modern, in which religious sentiment is replaced by a more secular one, finds full legitimacy the human, the daily of Dutch painting. Not dissolution of art, but art expression of the human. In the identification that brings us the aesthetic elevation, we feel involved and in this intimacy, we have a way of knowing ourselves, we as humans.

La ricerca muove dalla considerazione hegeliana dell'arte come mezzo di autoconoscenza dello spirito, primo gradino dello spirito assoluto. Lo studio ha cercato di evidenziare, all'interno del sistema hegeliano dell'arte, in che senso la pittura sia funzionale a una autoconoscenza dello spirito, strumento privilegiato rispetto ad altre forme artistiche. In quanto arte romantica, arte della soggettività, la pittura ha la capacità di esprimere le più intime pieghe dell'animo, attraverso l'uso di una materia quasi spirituale, la luce e il suo particolarizzarsi nel colore. L'arte è anche espressione del periodo storico, per cui nel moderno, in cui al sentimento religioso ne subentra uno più laico, trova piena legittimazione l'umano, il quotidiano della pittura olandese. Non dissoluzione dell'arte, ma arte espressione dell'umano. Nell'immedesimazione che ci porta l'elevazione estetica, ci sentiamo coinvolti e in questa intimità, abbiamo modo di conoscere noi stessi, noi come umani.
