Low back pain or low back pain (LBP) is among the symptoms most suffered by the world's population, coming to significantly affect all age groups. For this reason, a number of organizations have moved to combat this symptom and the social burden associated with it, without, unfortunately, any relevant results as yet. Despite this, the evidence provided by the scientific literature allows us to better understand LBP, including in light of some of the models proposed to frame this condition. The biopsychosocial model, as a way of investigating a person's well-being and the influences of LBP from a multifactorial perspective, and the 'fear-avoidance' model, which provides a viable hypothesis for the formation and chronicization of LBP. An aspect that has been poorly investigated and to which little attention has been paid concerns LBP in the adolescent athlete, a figure who is increasingly affected by this painful symptomatology and who should be protected from it in order to promote well-being during growth. To summarize, LBP can compromise our bodies in many ways. The kinesiologist, through his skills and work proposals, can act on these impairments from a physical (improvement of strength, nerve recruitment and functional abilities) and mental (improvement of self-efficacy, self-esteem and resilience) point of view.

Abstract
The kinesiologist, through his skills and work proposals, can act on these impairments from a physical (improvement of strength, nerve recruitment and functional abilities) and mental (improvement of self-efficacy, self-esteem and resilience) point of view.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
