Minors represent a particularly vulnerable category and are often victims of crimes of various kinds, both in the real and in the virtual world: in the virtual world they can be victims of crimes such as sexting, cyberbullying, revenge porn, online violence, and deadly challenges. Another crime related to the previous situations is child grooming, punished by Article 609-undecies CP, a phenomenon that is also increasingly developing in the virtual world. The provision punishes anyone who solicits a minor under the age of sixteen for the purpose of committing the crimes set forth in Art. 600-ter and -quater CP, even if the solicitation takes place through digital means such as the Internet or other virtual platforms. Solicitation is defined as any behavior aimed at gaining the trust of the minor, using deception, flattery or threats .

I minori rappresentano una categoria particolarmente vulnerabile e spesso vittima di crimini di vario genere, sia nel mondo reale che nel mondo virtuale: nel mondo virtuale possono essere vittime di reati come il sexting, il cyberbullismo, revenge porn, le violenze online, le sfide mortali. Un altro reato correlato alle precedenti situazioni è l'adescamento di minori, punito dall'art. 609-undecies CP, fenomeno che si sta sempre più sviluppando anche nel mondo virtuale. La norma punisce chiunque adeschi un minore di sedici anni allo scopo di commettere i reati di cui all’art. 600-ter e -quater CP, anche se l'adescamento avviene attraverso mezzi digitali come Internet o altre piattaforme virtuali. Per adescamento s’intende qualsiasi comportamento volto a guadagnare la fiducia del minore, utilizzando inganni, lusinghe o minacce .
