This work discusses, from a social and community psychology perspective, what types of interventions can help in contexts of vulnerability. In particular, studies and projects implemented by multidisciplinary approach using psychological tools and the power of sport to generate social change are cited and analysed. The paper draws its roots and inspiration from a project implemented in an educational centre in a favela (CEDEP), in Florianópolis, Brazil. The intervention is contextualised with an overview of the country's socioeconomic situation, the present economic inequality, and the context of the favelas. Empirical evidence is provided to show what kind of activities can be implemented and suggested to help the most vulnerable part of the population. Pedagogical and educational practices then frame these interventions. It is evident how initiatives using psychological practices and methodologies improve wellbeing in such contexts, especially those projects involving sport, as this has been shown to be crucial as an inclusive and educational means in vulnerable contexts. It is evident how initiatives using psychological practices and methodologies improve wellbeing in such contexts, especially those projects involving sport or recreational activities, as these have been shown to be crucial as an inclusive and educational means in vulnerable contexts.

Abstract
This work discusses, from a social and community psychology perspective, what types of interventions can help in contexts of vulnerability. In particular, studies and projects implemented by multidisciplinary approach using psychological tools and the power of sport to generate social change are cited and analysed.
