Le relazioni tra Stati Uniti d’America e Francia tra il 1947-1949: gli albori della guerra fredda, il Piano Marshall e la NATO.

The paper aims to investigate the extent of the relations between the United States and France in the years between 1947 and 1949: years during which the relationship between these two states proved to be crucial both for the formation and consolidation of the Western bloc under the aegis of the United States in the context of the Cold War, as for the debate on the need for economic aid from the United States to the European powers through the Marshall Plan, as for the discussions on the possibility or need for a Western Bloc military defence instrument, which will lead to the birth of NATO.

L'elaborato mira a indagare la portata delle relazioni Stati Uniti e la Francia negli anni tra il 1947 e il 1949: anni durante i quali il rapporto tra questi due Stati è risultato essere cruciale tanto per il formarsi e consolidarsi del blocco occidentale sotto l'egida degli Stati Uniti nel contesto della Guerra Fredda, quanto per il dibattito attorno la necessità di aiuti economici dagli Stati Uniti alle potenze europee tramite il Piano Marshall, quanto per le discussioni attorno alla eventualità o necessità di uno strumento di difesa militare del blocco occidentale, che porterà alla nascita della NATO.
