The paper deals with the subject of the Product Development Process in the Stiga company. It refers to that set of phases and activities through which a well-defined product is designed and manufactured. In the case study in question, the product range is gardening equipment from lawn mowers, through axial tractors, to autonomous robots. The aim is to analyse the product development process in its current condition and propose an improved redesign. The bibliographic research of sources was mainly carried out with the help of scientific articles, monographs, and university course material, in order to have an overall view of product innovation. The working methodology used was based on company database research and individual and collective interviews. A mapping of the process was then carried out, identifying its strengths and weaknesses comparing them with the literature. It went on to study and test various tools aimed at redesigning the process, confronting with the actors involved. Finally, drafts were produced that made explicit the responsibilities, integration points of the various functions involved and milestones for the various stages of the process.
L’elaborato affronta l’argomento del Processo di Sviluppo Prodotto nell’azienda Stiga. Si fa riferimento a quell’insieme di fasi e attività attraverso le quali si progetta e realizza un prodotto ben definito. Nel caso studio in questione il range di prodotti sono attrezzature per giardinaggio dal tosaerba, passando per i trattori assiali, fino ai robot autonomi. L’obiettivo è quello di analizzare il processo di sviluppo prodotto nella sua condizione attuale e proporne una riprogettazione migliorativa. La ricerca bibliografica delle fonti è stata effettuata principalmente con l’ausilio di articoli scientifici, monografie, materiale di corsi universitari, al fine di avere una visione complessiva dell’innovazione del prodotto. La metodologia di lavoro utilizzata si è basata sulla ricerca a database aziendale e su interviste individuali e collettive. Si è quindi realizzata una mappatura del processo, individuandone punti di forza e debolezze paragonati con quanto esplicitato nella letteratura. Si è proseguito studiando e testando diversi strumenti finalizzati ad una riprogettazione del processo, confrontandosi con gli attori coinvolti. Infine, si sono realizzati degli elaborati che esplicitano le responsabilità, i punti di integrazione delle varie funzioni coinvolte e le pietre miliari per le varie fasi del processo.
