Viktor Coj e i Kino: la musica come simbolo di cambiamento.

The aim of the thesis is the analysis of the cultural phenomenon of Soviet rock and the value that Kino and the figure of Viktor Tsoi acquired during the years of the perestroika, a key passage in Soviet history characterized by social, political, and economical reconstruction, led by Gorbachev's new political course, and also marked by significant cultural revolutions. In such period of contact and openness to the West, the music, lyrics, and language adopted in Kino's songs became symbols of a revamped desire for change that was developing from the insights of the Soviet Union, starting from the Soviet people themselves.

Il focus della tesi consiste nell’analizzare il fenomeno culturale del rock sovietico e in particolare il valore che i Kino e la figura di Viktor Coj acquisirono nel periodo della perestrojka, momento chiave della storia sovietica fatto di ricostruzione sociale, politica ed economica, portata avanti dalla politica di Gorbačëv, ma anche portatore di rivoluzioni culturali di grande rilievo. In tale periodo di avvicinamento e di apertura all’Occidente, la musica, i testi e il linguaggio utilizzato nelle canzoni dei Kino diventarono simboli di un rinnovato desiderio di cambiamento che si stava sviluppando all’interno dell’Unione Sovietica, a partire dal popolo sovietico stesso.
