The main topic of this thesis are entoptic phenomena, particular visual effects that originate from the interaction of light with the anatomical structure of the eye itself. In the first part of the work, the most common entoptic phenomena are reviewed, focusing on aspects such as their nature, etiology, possible treatment and the impact they can have on vision, also highlighting their possible applications in practice clinic. The second part analyzes a questionnaire that saw the participation of 350 subjects, which highlights the knowledge or otherwise of the main entoptic phenomena outside of vision professionals. The perception of these phenomena in the daily life of the subjects and the possible indisposition they can create in the vision are evaluated. In conclusion, we will discuss the main connections between entoptic phenomena and vision, and possible future applications. By discussing the results of the questionnaire, a reflection will be made on the knowledge and perception of entoptic phenomena.

Abstract
By discussing the results of the questionnaire, a reflection will be made on the knowledge and perception of entoptic phenomena.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
