The relationship between positive body image and performance in female athletes practicing artistic gymnastics

Investigation of the relationship between positive body image and aesthetic sports, in particular artistic gymnastics. The research involves a number of elite and professional gymnasts that consented to participate; they were asked to fill specific questionnaires in order to discover the presence or not of psychological problems and pressures. Also, the aim of the study was to discover whether positive body image can improve the gymnasts' performances or not.
